sh404SEF control panel
sh404SEF control panel is your go-to place for essentials information of your site SEO health and performance. It displays simple information about traffic, about how the pages on your site are used and possibly warnings when things may go wrong. Here is what it may look like:
Page stats and warnings
This section displays by default the main numbers about your site pages and URLs. Some of the counters may be flagged as warnings when there's something unusual happening:
Each box displays one piece of information and links to the corresponding page (URL manager, 404 manager,...) so that you can get more details or fix a problem.
In the screenshot above, we can see that a warning is raised because an internal 404 has been recorded. This is the most common warning, it means you have a broken link on one of your pages. Clicking on the orange box will directly send you to the 404 requests manager, where you will see the details of the faulty URL.
In addition to the main information shown in the screenshot above, you can also expand the pages stats block by clicking on the down arrow, near the bottom.
You can then view similar information about aliases and shURLs usage on your site.
The message center will only be displayed when needed: it will inform you of specific events or problems that may have been identified on your site or in sh404SEF configuration for instance:
There are multiple types of messages:
- regular informative messages, such as welcome message or new version notifications.
- some messages cannot be closed, and will be displayed until you resolve the issue listed, or change the corresponding setting for instance. This will be used for important messages that requires immediate attention and action.
- some other can be closed, but will come back after usually a day: new version notification, probably incorrect, but not vital, Joomla settings,...
Most messages can be expanded by clicking the down arrow near the bottom to reveal more details about the message being displayed:
Analytics traffic data
This section will display a single graph showing recent traffic on your site. You can select the data time range (week, month, year) and type (Page views, Visits, Unique visitors) under the
Analytics report section of configuration.
The graph will only be displayed if properly set in Analytics configuration.
This includes: enabling
Display report, providing a Web property ID and completing the Google authorization procedure. All details are on this page.
