Export data from Joomfish

Josetta has been discontinued as of January 20, 2017. It is not developed any longer, and unsupported. This documentation is left available as a reference for past users.

Install the exporter

The Josetta exporter can be downloaded from the download area. You will find it labelled as Joomfish exporter for Joomla! 1.5x

The Joomfish exporter can only be installed on Joomla! 1.5.x

Export data

• the exporter has no option or setting. It is a simple wizard that you need start and press the "Go" button
• all data exported is saved as a single zip file that you save on your computer
• data exported includes both original language and translation of: menu and menu items, categories, articles, custom HTML modules, contacts, weblinks, newsfeeds

Next step

Now that we have a file containing original content and their translations, we can head over to the new site, and start importing back the data
