4SEO technical requirements

Platform

4SEO runs on Joomla 3 & 4 as follows:

  • Joomla 3: version 3.9.0 or more recent
  • Joomla 4: current stable version.

4SEO is only tested with Joomla native multilingual system. If using a 3rd-party multilingual system, 4SEO should generally operate correctly but some or most features may not work as well.

PHP

  • PHP version 7.1.0 or more recent
  • the Multibyte String PHP extension is required
  • the CURL PHP extension is recommended in all cases and is required for all Google Search Console integration operations

PHP version 7.2.5 or more recent is required to use any of the Google Search Console features.

MYSQL

MYSQL version 5.5.3 or more recent

Browser

4SEO uses modern javascript technologies for its user interface. It requires a modern, "evergreen" browser such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox and similar, fully updated.

It is not tested on Safari, although it should work there as well.

Internet Explorer is not supported.
