Hi there!

I have Joomla 3.6.0 and sh404sef v 4.7.3.3292 (also installed AdsManager 3.1.5 with "sh404sef Adsmanager support plugin" v 2.7 by Thomas Papin, Jsitemap Pro, Akeeba, Centrora Security, Eyesite, Jsecure, JCE Editor, Yt-FrameWork)

The problem is - If I try to open a non-existent URL, then sh404sef component shows his 404error-page whith similar URLs on it, also sh404sef component logs this event into his 404-logs-Journal , everythings looks good BUT:

the server dont gives 404 error answer, it gives 200 OK answer instead 404!

I heard that the problem may be in .htaccess , but I have common .htaccess file which I took from here: https://docs.joomla.org/Preconfigured_htaccess
Is it good? I add only one line into it: php_flag register_globals off

Please advice how to fix this? May be on of other plugins or components has a conflict whith sh404sef component? How to find it?

Hi,

You are on public forum, where we can only reply to pre-sale questions. Please be kind to use our helpdesk for all support requests.

Be sure to include the full URL to your site for testing. sh404SEF does generate a 404 code in such case. There are unfortunately many plugins that breaks the HTTP status code before we have a chance to set it up.

Hi

Well, you go to the helpdesk in the sh404SEF category, and you click on the "New ticket' button. The button should be displayed if your subscription is active.

Thanks, now I see - there is no "New ticket' button because I have no any subscription yet.

I dont know what to do ) I can to buy a subscription, but than may be you will tell me "sh404sef" doesnt work because of I use a YT-framewor plugin" for example)
And what I will do?)

Aha... and then the [redacted] plugin author will ask me one more 44$ and then will tell me that his plugin is OK...

Why sh404sef is not overriding all other plugins??? How to use it if I must to pay all other plugin authors to make sh404sef working???

That's not technically possible. Actually, that's just not how Joomla works.

sh404SEF doesn't have any problem here. You have a system plugin on your site that's sending out the bad HTTP status code. It not something new or rare. Find it and disable it. If you want our assistance, please get a subscription.

You already are using sh404SEF without supporting its development - which is what subscription are for, not support. I don't think we can also help you debug the pluginson your site on top of it.
