Hi, i just installed a new joomla website with virtuemart on it.
And I was trying to install as few components as posible because of the lost in speed when loading the web site.
Is it much?
The only reason why I'm wanting to get the extension is because the article ID on my URL.
My joomla version is 3.4.1 my Virtuemart URLs are correct the only thing I see wrong is the blog URLs because of the ID.
The price is OK I have used the extension and my site ranked first.
I want to know if i buy the extension should i leave out the virtumart because URLs are well organized by joomla or do i have to choose everything?
My loading speed is gonna be much afected?
Besides the ID solution of my URLs what are the other main reasons to buy it I was thinking joomla have it all cover.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Keeping extensions count to a minimum is very reasonable. The only way an extension doesn't make you loose speed is if not doing anything!
If an extension does something, it'll of course use additional CPU, memory and database queries, and all of this has a cost. In the past, we've seen performance hit between 5 to 20% of the page generation time depending on extensions, the site structure or typical number of links on a page. This is usually small compared to the time of downloading css, images, etc
This site, weeblr.com, has quite a few pages, runs sh404SEF of course, and is generally considered fast, because of good use of caching for instance.

As for the general feature set, you can certainly read all of it on the product page. If you only care about the URL themselves, which is a small part of what we do, you can consider the following at least:
- Joomla builds URL based on menu items. On many sites, this generates a lot of "Multiple URL, duplicate content" pages
- on many sites, URLs end up being longer than needed
- URL can be customized and redirected as you see fit

IDs in URL are actually not really a problem, even though it's nice to get rid of it.
