Reduced schedule during conference and annual break

We'll be operating with a reduced schedule from tomorrow and the next few weeks, as follows:

We'll be travelling and attending JoomlaDay USA from Tuesday April 22 to Friday April 25. Support will have extended response time during this period. From April 25 evening to Tuesday May 12 included, support will be closed for our annual break.

Don't forget to look up the documentation, including the videos, your answer may already be there! Likewise, be sure to check the Development versions area, in case your problem may already have been solved.

In case of emergency (ie your site is down with a fatal error directly linked to one of our extensions), please contact us by email (see contact icon at the bottom of all pages of this site)

Hi,

I wish to migrate to Joomla 4 and my actual JoomSEF component seems not to be compatible with it.

So is your 4SEF component capable of importing of all my existing ULRs from Joomsef  last version 4.7.10 ?

Many thanks

Best regards

Hi

4SEF cannot import data from JoomSef, however we do have a free, unsupported plugin that can import JoomSEF and MijoSEF main data to sh404SEF (therefore on Joomla 3).

And from sh404SEF, you can move to 4SEF, which will import data from sh404SEF easily.

I can't guarantee that all features from JoomSEF will be passed over but we have had multiple users going that path in recent months with good success.

This should work fine on regular Joomla content, 3rd-party extensions may yield different results. The plugin will import automatic and custom SEF URLs into sh404SEF, and also custom meta data. Note that:

- sh404SEF is similar in scope to JoomSEF, it does SEF URLs and custom meta data and basic SEO features, including redirects

- 4SEF does only SEF URLs, nothing else, so it won't import custom meta data and redirects from sh404SEF

- 4SEO is our all-in-one SEO extension, and it's the one that will import custom meta data and redirects from sh404SEF. 4SEO does a lot more than sh404SEF and JoomSEF, most notably full management of Structured data and a connection to the Search Console.

Best regards
