hi. i'm interessetd on your 4SEO tool and have some questions: how is the handling with the setting "Add Suffix to URL" from joomla in combination with your meta override option? if i overwrite the title, will the page suffix still be appended? I already have a sitemap tool running (jSitemap), would it possible to disable the sitemap tool from 4SEO completely? in my theme i have currently entered and modified my analytics code. is it possible to adapt the code also in 4SEO from the analytics defaults? i mainly use the products from stackideas (easysocial, easyblog and easydiscuss) and jReviews, are 4SEO  compatible with this tools? like the sitemap, error recording, content replacer or structured data for jReviews listings is there a test or light version to test?

Hi

Thanks for your message and sorry about the akeeba ticket extension, it's indeed a bit temperamental.

how is the handling with the setting "Add Suffix to URL" from joomla in combination with your meta override option?

Not sure  I understand the question, I don't see or am aware of any relationship between meta data and "add suffix  to URL". There are none at least whether in 4SEO or in sh404SEF for that matter.

You may be referring to "Site name in Pages titles"? We likely won't support this setting as it's too limited. sh404SEF already offered an improved version where the prefix/suffix is free text instead of just the site title.

With 4SEO, it will be the same, except that like with most other settings, it will be rule-based, meaning by default your prefix will be for the entire site but you can also select to apply it only to some URLs, some components, some categories, etc even add a suffix between 2 dates.

I already have a sitemap tool running (jSitemap), would it possible to disable the sitemap tool from 4SEO completely?

I'd rather suggest remove JSitemap! It's one of the goal of 4SEO to avoid having to run multiple extensions for something where most data can and should be shared, avoiding having to read database many times for the same information.

4SEO crawler collects data once for each page, then detect changes. This allows us to know which page is canonical (and therefore should go into the sitemap or not for instance), without any additional work.

That said, yes, you can disable sitemap handling.

in my theme i have currently entered and modified my analytics code. is it possible to adapt the code also in 4SEO from the analytics defaults?

Yes, all analytics providers snippets can be customized from the user interface. And as analytics snippets are also rule-based, you can have different customizations for different sections of the site:

Here are the Analytics providers you can pick from:

is it possible to adapt the code also in 4SEO from the analytics defaults? i mainly use the products from stackideas (easysocial, easyblog and easydiscuss) and jReviews, are 4SEO  compatible with this tools? like the sitemap, error recording, content replacer or structured data for jReviews listings

4SEO crawls the site just like a search engines, so it does not need plugins anything to work. It does provide optimized operation through plugins, for structured data. At this stage, we do not have plugins for the StackIdeas extensions.

We are however very familiar with them, as part of 15 years of sh404SEF work and they will be in the second batch of extensions, in version 1.2, due mid-september (see 4SEO roadmap here).

is there a test or light version to test?

There will never be a test version, as this is rather unpractical for open-source software.

More importantly, a light version would not give you much insight into how useful 4SEO can be: it covers several areas and stripping them down would not make sense (how can I determine canonical URLs if I limit crawling to say, 500 pages for instance?).

Currently we focus on working on our roadmap content and providing best in  class features. We have operated for the longest time with a clear refund policy (30 days) and I believe it makes more sense than a free version for our type of products.

Best regards
