Hallo, I manage a big portal that use joomsef. As the component is giving us problem (not upfated for example) we would like to take it active for the old url's and use a new sef manager for new url's. Joomsef allow to stop creating new url's.
My question is: can I install Sh404 and start using it for new urls and take joomsef working for the old one?

Hi

Sorry, you cannot do that, it's not possible for 2 SEF extensions to be enabled at the same time in Joomla. What you can do however is install sh404SEF and use the importer (see documentation on this page) to import data from JoomSEF, including SEF URLs and meta data.

You need to do that import on a test copy of the site and make sure all is fine before redoing the same on the live site. You may have to do some manual adjustments depending on which features you were using in JoomSEF but the importer should get SEF URLs and meta data all right.
