Hello

I want to return code 410 for several pages. Can I do it with sh404SEF ?

Also about canonicalization. I have an article with url mydomain.com/article1.html. I do NOT want this one to appear anywhere.

I have a special menu for it, so people clicking the menu will be taken to mydomain.com/menu-article1.html

Can I use sh404SEF to put a canonical tag on mydomain.com/article1.html and show that the "ggod" url is mydomain.com/menu-article1.html ?

Hi

You can't return a 410 for pages, we only use 404, as there is no practical difference made by search engines (well, at least Google) between the 2 while allowing both would be error prone.

We have strong support for canonical links insertion, either on individual URLs or with generic rules. See documentation here and there.

Thank you

How about 301 redirect from mydomain.com/article1.html (the inappropriate one) to the "ggod" url mydomain.com/menu-article1.html ?

Hi

As you can see on the documentation pages I linked to, this and more is fairly straightforward indeed.
