Hello, I would like to ask you about 404SEF extension for joomla. I am wondering if it is useful in the following scenario: I will probably move some of my menu items to different parent items (different categories), so their urls are going to change. By using 404SEF will I be able to keep the same urls in these specific menu items?
Also, payment for 404SEF is a one-time-fee or does it last only for a year?

Hi

1 - sh404SEF does not use the menu items at all to build URLs, only an item definition such as title or categories (at least for all Joomla content, and most extensions). You also have multiple settings to choose your own URL structure. Changing navigation does not change URLs, contrary to what Joomla does.

You can also manually customize any URL, see this page of the documentation for that, so that you can match any pre-existing URL if you need to.
