Hi,

I am trying to move a Joomla 3.3.6 site (which has sf404SEF v.4.5.0.2655 installed) from one server to another, for my first time. I've moved many WP sites before and have followed Joomla's instructions on how to move the site. I have everything set and can access the site admin on the new server using the testing URL. Unfortunately, all of the sub pages to the site go to a 404 page. It looks like they should work, but for some reason, they are not. I can see the articles are there. When I use the index.php method instead of the .htaccess method for writing the URLs, the pages seem to be okay-ish some of the page modules still don't show up. I read somewhere that purging the 404 logs might help, that change nothing except for dumping my 404 logs. Am I completely missing something? I had thought this shouldn't be too difficult. I appreciate whatever insight you have. Thanks!

This would indicate your .htaccess file is not correct (and is confirmed by the fact that using /index.php/ removes the 404). It may need to be adjusted to your new server.

I read somewhere that purging the 404 logs might help
Purging the 404 logs doesn't do anything to the front end site display. At all.
