Hello, we are evaluating sh404sef as a replacement for acesef that seems to have stopped supporting their product.

I was wondering if it is possible to create aliases that dont redirect to the main sef url. In some cases we need the same page to be reachable with multiple sef urls, but prevent the redirect.

I know this is not best practice for seo. We don't want this for all pages, only some specific cases.

Hi

If you are talking about the exact same non-sef URL, you can't do that really, as it would require disabling duplicate management. That's not something you can disable, and if it was, it would be global, not just for a few URLs. As you say, it's not good SEO practice, to say the least.

The way I would do it is to create multiple non-sef URLs, varying maybe only by the Itemid but showing the same content. Then you can customize each SEF URL as you see fit.
