I was wondering if you had plan to support this nice component

http://demo.quirkyfoxlabs.com/extn/#joo_pinboardlite

they have both free and pro version. I asked them about a sh404 plugin.
here is what they replied:
"Unfortunately there are known compatibility issues with SH404SEF that prevent the extension from generating correct URLs.

We already tried several ways to fix the issue, but all of them needed a "router.php" file that would change the extension's behavior. For that reason we decided to simply not support SH404SEF."

Well I thought you d be the best person to make a plugin for your extension

Hi

Sorry about the delay in replying. I personally don't know this extension, and as a consequence have no direct plan to write a plugin for it. When no dedicated plugin is available, then sh404SEF falls back to using the Joomla-dedicated router.php file, which is required by Joomla to build proper SEF URLs.

Any extension that follows Joomla API will work with sh404SEF. I am not aware of any compatibility issue with Joomla-API compliant extension, and those folks never asked me anything about it.

Nope, it's totally not the same. A redirect means when asking for a given URL (/some-page.html), the site will send you to another page (/some-other-page.html).

When you create a "New URL" in sh404SEF, there is no redirect happening. This URL instead is used by Joomla when it needs to display a link in a page, ss that users can click on it.
