4AI has a free of charge Community Edition that you can get from the JED or from our download page.
That version is of course very limited compared to the full version.
For the full version, as all our extensions are distributed under the GPL license that Joomla comes with, it's not really possible to have a test version.
We do however refunds per our refund policy here.
