#9688 – Updated sh404sef Installed 4SEF and 4SEO.

Hi

On the 4SEO Dashboard under "Things You May Consider"  it says "4SEO can import some relevant data from sh404SEF."  I ran the importer again but it keeps showing that message.

What happens if you just click the Dismiss button?

In sh404sef it's showing 1867 URLS

In 4SEF is shows 1835 URLs

That's fine, URL pairs are not stored in exactly the same way.

But in 4SEO under PAGES it shows Total 189 Pending 2471

There's strictly no relationship between these 2 numbers. There's no comparison to be made here.

Under 4SEO Sitemap it says "Sitemap creation is in progress." I installed and setup 3 days ago?

1 - Have you tried loading it your brower?

2 - Do you have any traffic on your site, that's what triggers background analysis. A sitemap can only be generated when the entire website pages has been analyzed at least once. 

If you haven't already, I would very strongly suggest that you at least read this page of 4SEO documentation to understand what the list of pages is and how it's built up.

Also I use OSProperty Component which the urls didn't correctly carry over from sh404sef to 4SEF. 

This should be the url - https://example.com/adams-township-homes-for-sale.html

BUT this is what the website doing - https://example.com/real-estate-menu/all-real-estate-categories/adams-county-homes-for-sale.html

I'm not sure why it's not done processing and where to fix the url issue?

The only reason I can think of is that this component has a plugin for sh404SEF. If so, the plugin developer needs to update their plugin as the 4SEF plugins are not the same as the sh404SEF ones (documentation for 4SEF plugins is here).

1 - Have you tried loading it your brower? - I clicked "Open Sitemap in new tab" to https://example.com/sitemap-4seo.xml but it says Service Unavailable.

This means the first full analysis has not completed. Once all pages of the site have been analyzed once, the sitemap can be built.

It's an older website not sure of current web traffic I use to get 100+ visitors per day before I lost my analyitics database.  In sh404sef it says 1867 Total URLs and 1637 Visted.

The number of pages in the site is not related to the traffic. What matters is if you have enough people visiting so that the background analysis is fast enough to go through the entire websites pages at least once. That does not seem to be the case on your site, if you only have a few dozen visitors.

If you haven't already, I would very strongly suggest that you at least read this page of 4SEO documentation to understand what the list of pages is and how it's built up. - I'll go through this on Thursday.

I strongly encourage you to do that again. In the mean time, the shortcut is just to click the Analyze Now button in the toolbar of the Pages page. Then let it run until it completes. You can start and stop at any time.

Once all pages have been analyzed at least once (it will says "Analysis completed"), the sitemap can be generated and submitted to Google (it's all automatic, nothing to do for you).

After that 1st initial round of analysis, detecting changes and updating the sitemap and other data is also automatic.
