Hello!

We bought and intalled succesfully your extension.

We wonder if we have to use something else for optimising everything else.  css, js, ...

Thank you!

Hi

Your CSS and javscript is normally something that comes from your template, so that's more where you want to look and ask about.

Most modern templates alreay make sure CSS and javascript is compressed so that's good. Then, it's likely more a matter of actually trying to use as little as possible JS and CSS.

4SEO can/will give you information about your Core Web Vitals measurements, per page.  These are the numbers Google uses to rank page (although it's a really small factor in ranking). So you may want to look into optimizing these pages that fail (marked in red).

Actually making them faster is not something we can assist with, but the Core Web Vitals measurements will tell you where to look and what to optimize, if there's a need for that.

Hi

I have no real opinion, as I've never used it. Being a developer, we do that sort of things "by hand". JCH is a well-known extension, commonly found on Joomla sites.

It does add complexity to the site so you really want to :

- measure performance before

- measure performance after

Don't just trust it blindly, optimizers can also decrease performance depending on how your server is setup and how your site is built.

Again, Core Web Vitals is what needs to be taken into account. Only do something about it if you identify a serious problem.

Lastly, I'd like to comment that maybe adding a CDN such as Cloudflare may be an easier and also more efficient way to optimize your assets, including images than adding a Joomla extension (it's free too). So maybe that's where I'd start before JCH. Again, only measuring can tell.

ok, thanks.

One question about the time it takes to analyze. https://www.[redacted].gr/  is on 10% 3 days now.  Is it normal?

Hi

One question about the time it takes to analyze. https://www.[redacted].gr/  is on 10% 3 days now.  Is it normal?

Standard analysis is triggered by visitors on your site, so the speed depends on how many visitors you have and how many pages you have.

I would advice you run a manual analysis from the admin (Analyze now button on the Pages page toolbar).

You do not need to run Analyze now regularly. Once the first analysis is complete, 4SEO will keep monitoring the site and update its data as needed automatically.
