Hello,

We're pleased to announce the release of 4Analytics version 6.2.0. This is a feature and maintenance release, compatible with Joomla 3 through 6 without a compatibility plugin.

Here are the highlights:

  • Visitor locations now show Unknown and Other separately; they were all showing under Unknown until now.
  • Added support for the new utm_source parameter from Gemini apps. Gemini traffic should now be identified more accurately.
  • Aggregate data rebuilding is now done in small batches and can accommodate the largest datasets.
  • The minimum data retention duration is now 13 months to avoid the risk of breaking current-period data collection.
  • Small improvements to the Geo database download, which will now retry if it fails.
  • Data retention policy was not applied. Fixed and improved.
  • Lists of campaign media and sources are truncated at 50 characters instead of allowing ten 20-character items.
  • When installing a new version on a site using an external analytics database, a message could be displayed on the installation page (with no actual impact).
