Hello,

We're pleased to announce the release of 4AI version 8.1.0. This is a feature release, focusing on integrating the latest Nano Banana image generation model, and is compatible with Joomla 3 to 6 without a compatibility plugin.

Here are the highlights:

  • Added support for Gemini 3.1 Flash image (Nano Banana)
  • Added support for Gemini 3.6 and 3.5-Flash-Lite
  • Now accepting the latest Google Gemini API key format (AQ....)
  • Now using a dialog element for most dialogs
  • Accessibility: nav landmark elements don't have a unique identifier
  • Accessibility: table header cells with no visible title should still have an indication of their content
  • Missing language string for the copy cron key button
  • In the tab switcher, a small layout shift when going to or from the 'When to run' tab to another
