Hi i have problem with my website. After installing sh 404 i canot add new menus. When i add new menu it tries to redirect to same page.
All old menus work just fine but i can not add new ones. Every has redirect loop. I deleted all aliases. Disabled and deleted all joomla redirects. it does not work.
So i disabled everything sh404 related checked htaccess file, disabled joomla redirect plugin but i can not add new menu items. result is the same.

Can you help me? for the regret on the moment i can not permanently disable sh404 because i am runking up in google and it would be bad.

you will see menu item in main menu "kontakti" it is kontakts and it redirects to start page.

Hi

Could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

Hi

I had to reconfigure many things on the site.

1 - The language configuration was not correct.
- English was set as the Site default language in Joomla configuration, instead of Latvian.
- English was set as the Content language instead of Latvian

2 - The sh404SEF settings were mixed up. I restored them to:

because you said in another ticket that you wanted to use aliases instead of the real title (to avoid Latvian-specific characters in URLs) but there you had set sh404SEF to use the Article titles and the categories titles instead of the aliases.

I then purged URLs and it looked better, the URLs in the URL manager have &lang=lv instead of &lang=en and they don't have special characters.

3 - As for the Kontact menu item, you have created it as a link to article id = 144, which belongs to category JM-sample-data, but you have unpublished this category, which is why sh404SEF cannot access it. Publishing the category makes the link come back.

Thank you for help. I did not know language is so important. I planed latter add more languages so leaved it as is.

now i understand what was wrong.
