Hello to all,
i have a problem with manufacturer url and virtuemart 3.

I have a menu item linked to index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=manufacturer but if i active the component the url of menu item points to / and so the link became empty.

How can i fix it?

I'm running Joomla 3.4.4, latest sh404sef component and VirtueMart 3.0.2 .

Hi

Do you use a rocketthem template and/or the SEOGlossary extension?

Could you please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterwards, but it must have superuser level.

I'm using a yootheme template as base and now i'm on localhost.
If u need to access with superadmin account give me some times to upload the site on tmp server and set it up.

Meanwhile, do you have some ideas?

Hi

Usually, these are interferences with other extensions (such as the one I mentioned with SEOGLossary, documented here).

I would also check how the menu item has been created. Using Virtuemart menu items types or manually?

I just tested again on a VM 3.0.9 site and this works very fine for me. Here's what you get with default settings (except for the .html suffix):

No i'm not using seoglossary and i have created a normal menu item of Vm as image attached.

Hi

SEOGLossary is just the one I documented because it happened multiple times.

A good try is also to switch back to Joomla default template, purge URLs and see if the same thing happens.

Rather than putting it online, it might be more efficient if you could do an akeeba backup and make that available to me (through dropbox or google drive for instance). That way I could install locally and debug through the PHP to see what's causing this.

Hi

The problem came from the language configuration. Under the "Content" language tab of Joomla language manager, you had 2 languages (Italian and English). This confused the Virtuemart/sh404SEF connection (this is why you were getting a message "Your site seems to be multilingual... insh404SEF control panel).

I disabled English on that page, only leaving Italian, purged URL and the 'i-nostri-brand' is created properly now.

Yes this is what i have done but in local i have the same situation. No url is generated. purged cache but it's the same :(

Hi

Maybe you have the Cache system plugin enabled? or another full page cache like JotCache?

Do you still have the "Your site maybe multilingual ..." in sh404SEF control panel?
Also, make sure you have SEF enabled in Joomla global conifguration.
