I am not first day user but i am confused

1. Why component tries to use tittles instead of menu alias? In settings i set to use menu alias.It places special characters in url. For example i canot change this url http://xxxx.lv/metāla-durvis/metāla-vārti it should be http://xxxx.lv/metala-durvis/metala-varti deleted it from database and made new but it stays the same. Do not know what to do

2, i have make new website on domain xxxx.lv and i have redirect from old xxxx.lv

how to redirect urls using sh404 to corect landingapes? on the moment this url www.xxxx.lv/index.php?Itemid=186 results in 404

1 - Because these are the default settings for URL configuration. Please read this page of documentation, and check the various options available to you.

2 - Doing redirect is very simple in sh404SEF. This documentation page shows you the principle and how to do it.
