 Hi there

I've just migrated a site from Joomla 1.5 using the MigrateMe extension which I've done many times now. Everything is fine except for sh404SEF and although the extension itself seems to be okay I get the following error when I try to access the Configuration screen:

0 String could not be parsed as XML

I've tried uninstalling the extension, also tried renaming the sh404sef db tables to "bak_" in case it was some of the old data which was causing an issue but no joy.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Hi

Did you migrate sh404SEF also? I assume you installed current version?
I'd suggest you set Joomla Error reporting to maximum or development, to see if another other error pops up.

Hi there

MigrateMe will have migrated the tables, yeah, and yes I installed the current version for Joomla 3, freshly downloaded from your site.

Set errors to development but no more information that I can see, just that same error. Could it be the shLib?

If you could confirm all the bits and bobs I need to remove to completely clear all info out then I can try deleting all tables just to start afresh perhaps - though like I say the URL Manager and other parts seem to work fine, it's just that configuration popup.

Hi

I can suggest the following:

1 - Uninstall sh404SEF normally (through Joomla installer). Check that shib has been removed as well. If not, uninstall through the installer as well.

2 - In the /media folder, delete the /media/sh404sef folder (NOT the /media/com_sh404sef folder, which should not be there anyway, after step 1).
/media/sh404sef contains backup information, that may have been migrated as well.

3 - Install back again.

If that's not enough, next step will be to take a backup and get that to me, so that I can install locally and step through the code to see where this is happening exactly.

Rgds
