 Hi

Just going through the usual SEO task, and I noticed the title and meta manager shows empty meta description fields for all K2 items, even though I verified standard tokens are indeed in each K2 item's meta description field. I understand K2 has its own SEO component, but in this case, doesn't sh404SEF just pulls whatever is in the database and display them? If that's the case, why are they blank? More importantly, it's easier to modify the meta description in sh404SEF, so could you advise what I can do?

Thank you for your help.

SH

ps. sorry, this is the wrong place since this is not a pre-sales question.

Hi

Meta data are not supposed to show there. It'd be nearly impossible to collect them from the various extensions that make up a Joomla web site (some pages are regular content, some are K2, some are Virtuemart, hikashop, redshop, sobipro, Moset tree, zoo, Flexi content,...) each with their own way to build and store meta data.

There are 2 ways to use this feature:
- to override meta data on any page, even for extensions that don't let you do that normally
- to create and store meta data entirely: ie instead of storing meta data in K2, your shop, your directory extension, store them all directly in the Page title and meta manager.
