 Hello,

I have a few menu items that has third party's component menu types which are not supported by sh404. Is there a way to rewrite these URLs manually by using sh404? If so, will they be safe with any upgrades?

Thank you.

Hi

Yes, as per the documentation.

What extension is not supported, and what's an example of a non-sef/SEF pair produced for it?

Two extensions/plug-ins;

One is CB GroupJive, which I use the External URL menu types.
e.g. I have a menu item named "Create a Group" , it's URL displays "http://xxxx.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=206&action=groups&func=new&lang=en&plugin=cbgroupjive&task=pluginclass"

The other one is Minitekwall, I use their menu type to show K2 item list views.
e.g. I have a menu item named "Events", it's URL is "http://xxxx.com/component/com_minitekwall/Itemid,346/view,wall/"

Thanks.

Hi

1 - From recollection, if you use external URLs, no rewriting takes place, Joomla just doesn't attempt to change the URL

2 - The type of URL you get for Minitekwall is what we call "Simple". It's used when a component does not provide a router.php file. This you can manually rewrite.

For #2, can you explain how it gets done? I can'f find it from documentaion.
I clicked the simple encoding @ configuration/ general/ components/ minitekwall, is this part of the process?

Doesn't this page explain to customize urls that alrealy have the sef urls? I am looking for the way to rewrite the urls that are not listed in sh404 sef url manager.

Well I need the direction to get this done or need an answer that I can't do it with sh404, so I don't have to waste my time.
