 Dear support,

After updating I get a message:
Error while upgrading the database : Unknown column 'metadesc' in '#__sh404sef_metas'. Sh404SEF will probably not operate properly. Please uninstall it, then try again after checking your database server setup. Contact us in case this happens again.
sh404SEF installed succesfully! Please read the following

Do you know why? Should I just drop the 'metadesc' column in '#__sh404sef_metas' or does it say that I have to uninstall the whole sh404sef extension? I am sure that we didn't add that one by ourself.

With kind regards,
Nico

Hi

1 - Which version did you update to and from, exactly?
2 - Do you see any issue on the site itself, or in the backend?

[EDIT]

The metadesc column must be present. The message seems to indicate that it's missing

Hi,

I don't know from which version I updated from, but it was longer than 1 year ago, as I forgot to extend my license and updates.

I didn't get any error yet.

As soon as I know more I will let you know.

Regards, Nico

Hi

Very weird! I got back until february 2011 (!) and at this time, the metadesc column was there. I believe I remember it has always been there actually, even in Joomla 1.0 and Mambo versions.

Must be something else. Can you confirm the table #__sh404sef_metas does have a "metadesc" column on your server?

Hi,
Sorry, I was forgotten to respond. Yes, they all have a metadesc. But the sites will be totally renewed in a few months, so don't borrow as long as I have no problems with it.
Kind regards,
Nico
