 Hi,

I';ve just finished my first newsletter with Acymailing and noticed that the wrong article url's are inserted in the newsletter.

Actual url of the article: example.com/nl/blog/article-title

Link in newsletter: example.com/nl/blog/99-article-title

As youy can see the article id is inserted in the url. This causes a 404 when you click on it.

Do you have any suggestions on this?

Best regards,

Joep

Hi

We can't really tell how Acymailing is creating their links, but I'm surprised you have any problem, we are actually also using it here and never had any issue. It's pretty much the standard and many sh404SEF are using it (on top of ourselves).

Regardless, this is something you'll have to take to them, the link generated all depends on what they are doing to generate it.

Hoi,

Thank you for your early reply.

Meanwhile I have discovered that the problem does not only concern the article-id. The read online and unsubscribe link don't work either. And another problem is that the language code is not present in the url's. I've overlooked that before.

I guess the problem is caused by not having any Acy menu items. I will look into that.

Both sh404sef and Acymailing are new for me, so these will probably beginners mistakes. ;-)

Best regards,

Joep

Hi

I don't see how not having a menu item could be a problem, sh404SEF doesn't use menu items to build URLs. But again, multiple such issues indicates that there might be a problem with how you added the links (links should like index.php?option=com_xxx so that they can be picked up by Joomla SEF system. How they are transformed exactly however depends on Acymailing.

Hi,

It was indeed a missing menu item. Acymailing needs it in case of a multilingual site. Everything is working now.

Thank you for your time.
