 I am getting the following error on some of the pages on my site: ERROR: 1054

Unknown column 'last_hit' in 'field list' SQL=UPDATE `#__sh404sef_urls` SET `cpt`=2088, `last_hit`='2016-10-06 02:28:50' WHERE `id`='5' AND `rank`=0;

If I disable sh404sef then the error disappears. Suggestions to fix this?

Hi

Some of sh404SEF updates were not done correctly (this field should have been added when updating sh404SEF in some previous version).

In your other ticket, you explained that you built the site with sh404SEF version 4.4.9. With this version indeed this column did not exist. So what's the history here, how is it that you use database table from your old version? Did you copy the database tables directly or something?

This is a newer site build and this error wasn't there when the software was first installed. The error has only happened in the last few weeks. The software was installed through the Joomla install component and then updated as needed (typical install and updates)

Hi

This is a newer site build and this error wasn't there when the software was first installed.
This field, last_hit, was added in 4.8.0, ie the last release actually. I don't really have any idea how this technically can happen, especially considering it's never been reported.

1 - Can you confirm (using phpmyadmin or similar), that the xxx_sh404sef_urls database table indeed does not have any 'last_hit' column?
2 - Was there any restore done on the site recently, either through Joomla or at the hosting level (that would be the most likely reason, a restore from a date prior to updating to 4.8.0)?
3 - I would suggest installing againg a freshly downloaded copy of 4.8.0 and installing again over the existing one. That should add back the last_hit field if it's missing.

I installed a fresh copy of sh404sef and that has fixed the problem. I suspect the host did something as the site hasn't had any changes made except to keep the site up to date. The site was tested after the updates were made.

Hi

Unfortunately, this would not be the first time I hear about something like this. They sometimes restored a failed disk with something that may not be up to date.

The site was tested after the updates were made.
This would confirm that.

Glad it's solved anyway, closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.
