 Hello,
I get blank popup on editing anything in sh404sef.
I found an error in the console of Mozilla "Empty string passed to getElementById()." comes from media/jui/js/jquery.min.js .
I have updated the sh404sef to the latest version, did not help.

Thanks

Hi

1 - What are your exact and full Joomla and sh404SEF versions? (not latest, that's not a version)
2 - Have you fully purged your browser cache?
3 - Which Joomla admin template are you using?

The javascript error is not significative at this stage, as it doesn't state where the error comes from, only where it happens.

FYI, the common reasons for this are:

- incomplete installation: something went wrong on upload, some parts or files are missing: uninstall and re-install
- security filters installed by your hosting company: hard to detect, need to backup and test on another server
- javascript conflict with another plugin or the template

If purging cache and uninstalling then installing again doesn't help, we can login and have a look.

1) Latest version sh404SEF 4.7.3.3292
2) Uninstalled / Installed
3) browser cache yes - does not work on 4 different pc's that I checked.
4) Admin template isis, also Hathor does not work, but with Bluestork it does work, but all css is broken..
So we can assume its some js file/s that are not playing nice together..

On this site all was working just fine, few days ago we wanted to update some home meta and discovered the problem.

If You want to take a look here:

xxxx
xxxx
http://www.xxxx.il/administrator

Thanks

Hi

Do you have some kind of protection on the site when trying to visit the address above, I get redirected to: http://xxxx.com/administrator/

which fails, as the domain xxxx.com doesn't seem to exist?

sometimes it redirects because of the hosting, just write the address again manually it will work.

Hi

Sorry, no luck. I tried about a dozen times.

OK, I managed to access by using: http://www.xxxx.il/administrator/index.php

But wait, this is a Joomla 2.5 site!

1 - Support for Joomla 2.5 sites has stopped 6 month ago
2 - sh404SEF 4.7.3 is not compatible with Joomla 2.x. It should not even install. How did you install exactly?
3 - All the pages of the site are broken. The browser console shows:

[xxxx]

It looks like you've done something with a robots.php file, which is breaking your admin entirely.

This is joomla 3.4.6, I just loaded Bluestark admin template, as this is the only way we can work with sh404.
Its back on isis now, take a look.

Hi

OK, I see. But things are about the same, this is Joomla 3.4.6, we are on a very shaky ground.

The thing I can comment on:

- The Configuration button doesn't have the correct color, so something is missing here.
-
I found an error in the console of Mozilla "Empty string passed to getElementById()." comes from media/jui/js/jquery.min.js .
I don't have any javascript error. This is not what's happening. I don't have any javascript error, neither in Chrome nor in Firefox.

The javascript is working, the modal is opened correctly,

Ah ok, after spending some time, the problem is actually the one I already outlined. The sh404SEF request actually work very fine, but there is a problem in the HTML, probably in the admin template:

You have an unclosed HTML comment in your template. This basically comment out the rest of the page. It looks related to the change you made to call your robots.php file from javascript.

Hi

Yes, if it was working before and not any more, something in the environment changed.

Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

If you created any superadmin account for us, be sure to delete or block it now to avoid unnecessary risk in the future.
