Good afternoon,

Since you have made, a very nice, update the loading time of your extension is far to long. I even receive a 504 Gateway Time-out message. Can you tell me why this happens?

Regards, Maarten

Hi

I don't know. There was no change in the URL build up time. The changes are in features in the backend, not on frontend.

The only features that would affect front end loading time is "Data recording", but that should be disabled if your server is not capable of handling it. URL source recording is only for debugging so that should be off.

Is Data recording something I can switch on/off or do I have to ask it my hosting company?

Hi

It's described here: https://weeblr.com/documentation/products.sh404sef/4/going-further/data-recording/index.html

If you haven't touched it, it should be off anyway.

Again, there's nothing new affecting the front end on that release.

- What was the previous one you had?
- How do you know for sure this is coming from sh404SEF? did the slowness started the second you updated?

When I try to access the component via backend: Components -> sh404sef this error appears. (see the first attachment). On the front-end there are no problems, and everything is working fine :)
When I try to access the component via: Components -> sh404sef -> SEF URL's there is also no problem.

A second problem I discovered is an SQL error on the "shURL manger" menu item on the back-end (see the second attachment)

Greetings,
Maarten

Hi

The second error denotes that your database is damaged and needs repair at mysql server level. That would explain the slowness, as this table is the one that contains the sh404SEF sef URLs.

Repairs on your mysql server can for instance be conducted with phpmyadmin or through your hosting control panel.
