 Hi,

I'm a little confused about a situation we have with two menu links.

Both links reside in the same menu and lead to the same Mijoshop category page. The only difference is that one link is called Tiles and the other is called All Tiles.

Both menu links are set to use the same template yet one of these links defaults to a different template. There seems to be no way to get them to use the same template and I suspect it's sh404sef which is causing the issue, despite setting one as the alias of the other.

You see the issue here:

http://xxxx.ie/
Main menu link Tiles and All Tiles in the dropdown.

You can see that even though we have both links set to use template03 we are getting template02 outputting for All Tiles (the slider at the top disappears because template02 does not contain that module position.

Can you please advise what might be going on?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Quentin

Hi

This is most likely an Itemid and duplicate URL issues. If you look at both URL (Tiles and All tiles) in the URL manager, and you check their respective non-sef URLs, you'll probably see that the Itemid is not the expected one, the one you assigned a specific template to.

You can click on the ducplicates counter (orange) to see all duplicates of each URL and select the correct non-sef, the one with the right Itemid.

This page of documentation should help, as well as this other page with a video.
