Hello,

Sorry for my bad english, i'm french
Sh404 create bad menu on the home. It generate many active items.
I create an alternate homepage : http://www.xxxx.fr/nouveau_site/home.html
It works correctly for this one but non for the homepage http://www.xxxx.fr/nouveau_site/

Hi

Usually this will happen when the "Content" language doesn't match the installed language. I assume your default language is French, so what you need is:

- go to the "Content" tab of the Joomla Language menu
- add the French language there
- Purge URLs in sh404SEF URL manager
- go to the home page

If that doesn't solve it, then I'll have to look at it directly. It may also have to do with the way the menu items have been created.

Just now i tried to assign an homepage in french but it doesn't works too

Hi

The problem here is that you have a mixed up language configuration: your site is single language (language filter not published) but your actual home page is in the "Shadow" menu (it goes to your sitemap page).

The link you call your home page is not an actual home page because it's not an "All" language. It is assigned to the French language and thus not the home page.

I assume you want to add ENglish later on,but that's not how it works right now. If you assign your Accueil page the "All' language, it'll work fine. Or else you need to switch to an actual multilingual site.

I don't want a multilingual later but the home french was a test because it doesn't work without so i try it.
I put as before and as you ask me : Accueil to 'all' language but it doesn't work again.

Hi

Sorry, I don't always check all settings, I should do that first.

As it turns out, you have entered "home.html" as the home page URL under the advanced configuration of sh404SEF, so sh404SEF is using that each time the home page URL is displayed on a page. Clear that field, and you'll be good.

It was that when we were on the home other menu was active (orange background)

But if you see the site just now :
I delete menus items and there are no more active menu on the home
I don't know why but it is correct now

Well, it depends on which menu items you deleted I guess, but it also depends a lot on your templates, your menu structure, etc
