Hello,

I recently purchased 4sef and 4seo and have installed them on my Joomla 3 site. I want the browser page title to be the actual title of the article but it is showing the Menu title instead. I have checked over all the Joomla settings and 4seo settings and I can't figure out how to change this. In 4seo, I have set up a rule to use the {page_title}.

Here is an example page: https://www.dogsledding.com/lodge-based-dogsled-vacations

The browser page title should be "Lodge-Based Dogsled Vacations" but it is using the Menu title "Lodge-Based Trips"

Hi

I recently purchased 4sef and 4seo and have installed them on my Joomla 3 site.

Thanks for that. Please make sure to use the 4SEF and 4SEO helpdesk categories as otherwise we can't quickly check your subscriptions status and this will definitely delay our response time. Pre-sale tickets are also public, which is not always suitable.

I want the browser page title to be the actual title of the article but it is showing the Menu title instead.

4SEO has no impact on Joomla page title, unless you manually add a title for a page (from the Pages page) or set up a rule.

In this case, Joomla is likely using the menu item title because you have a direct menu item link to that article.

In 4seo, I have set up a rule to use the {page_title}.

This will not change the title as you are asking 4SEO to inject the page title, which is the one determined by Joomla.

As you are talking about items with direct menu items links, I would suggest:

- just enter the desired title as the menu item browser title (in Joomla)

- or enter that title in 4SEO, using the Pages page

Closing this ticket now, feel free tok open a new one as needed, in the 4SEO category as mentioned. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

Best regards
