Hi there, I wondered if you had a solution that would allow me to add ALT Text to images in my media gallery. I have a client that has over a hundred images and would like a way to add ALT Text to the image that would be used anywhere it was inserted into the site.

That's not something we can help with. Additionally, if you're thinking of adding automatically alt text (such as taking the file name and putting it in the alt text), I'd recommend against it as it won't help neither your accessibility nor your SEO. Does the media gallery not allow such feature?

Hi Yannick,
Thanks for the reply. I think what I am looking for is something like what WordPress has. Where you can go to the media manager, select an image, and set the ALT Text for that image, so anywhere it is loaded it pulls the ALT Text.

Indeed Joomla will not have that. There's no centralized storage of alt text or other meta data for images, which Joomla or extensions can then access to use in their output.
