#9831 – I need SH404SEF download

I removed sh404sef extention and now getting tons of 404 errors

This is expected, you changed all the URLs on your website by reverting to Joomla SEF URLs.

I tried to install it but can't find the direct download for it can you assist?

Although now nearly discontinued, sh404SEF is still available under the Download page. You will of course need an active subscription to access any of our downloads or support areas of the site.

The version I have gives erros such as: sh404SEF system plugin has been disabled or has failed initializing. Please enable it again to use sh404SEF, with Joomla! plugin manager  

That means you likely did not re-install from the initial zip file, or simply that not all plugins are enabled.

You will of course need an active subscription to access any of our extension, and I suspect you don't have one.

The issue is Joomla spits class errors (JForm..) when I open plugins, eventhough extensions work fine:

I cannot comment without seeing things but sh404SEF works fine on any supported Joomla version, that is any Joomla 3 version from 3.9.0.

4SEF is not a replacement for sh404SEF. It creates in most cases the same URLs as sh404SEF, and can import URLs from sh404SEF but is a very different extension. Specifically, it only does SEF URLs. Nothing else. If you plan to migrate to Joomla 4 at some point, you should likely get started with 4SEF now because sh404SEF is not compatible with Joomla 4.

sh404SEF is available as part of the 4SEF subscription. Note that it will be permanently discontinued when Joomla 3 is, in august.

However this:

plg_sef_ext_sh404sef_medialibrary_2016_11_10

Is not from us and will definitely not work with 4SEF. So you can get the 4SEF subscription, and you will get as part of that the latest sh404SEF version. But you will have to keep using sh404SEF until you have this plg_sef_ext_sh404sef_medialibrary_2016_11_10 plugin modified to work with 4SEF.

4SEF will not "anything", it will create the same links as sh404SEF in most cases. It will do the same as sh404SEF for all Joomla content (articles, categories, etc) but there may be different URLs if you are using 3rd-party extensions (such as K2, FlexiContent, etc).
