I am currently using Easyblog on my site and it is creating a lot of duplicate content because according to them the blog articles are not associated with the menuID (so you can actually put anything in the url and it will work!

For example (these are just examples):

website.com/dogs/health/a-dogs-health

will also appear if you just replace the word dogs with cats!!!

So will your SEF / SEO product fix this so that there is only ONE valid blog/article and not multiple ones?

Thanks!

Hi

That's not really an issue with Easyblog but rather with Joomla. Are you still on Joomla 3 or is it Joomla 4?

Joomla 4 should behave better there.

sh404SEF/4SEF will indeed ensure that there's only one link per item, regardless of the menu items configuration.

However:

- on Joomla 3, using sh404SEF, EasyBLog provides support for sh404SEF and have - I think - about the same URLs as what you currently have

- on Joomla 3 or 4, if using 4SEF (only 4SEF runs on Joomla 4), EasyBlog has not updated their sh404SEF plugin to work with 4SEF and so the URLs are still going to be unique but likely the same as the Joomla ones. If your blog exists already and is indexed, then URLs are going to change and that's bad. You'll need to wait till they upgrade their plugin.

Best regards
