Is 4SEF for Joomla 4 the replacement for sh404SEF for Joomla 3? If so what is the procedure to upgrade and NOT loose all my urls from Joomla 3? I have dozens of websites (Joomla 3) that cross link with with one another probably over 10,000 links.

4SEF is not a replacement for sh404SEF because it does only one single thing: create and manage URLs in the same way as sh404SEF.
However, it has no other of sh404SEF features such as custom meta data, redirects, simple structured data, security, analytics, OpenGraph, etc
We released a year and a half ago another all-in-one extension called 4SEO. 4SEO has all modern SEO features you need, but it does not do SEF URLs.
Switching to 4SEF to maintain SEF URLs is a matter of:
- installing 4SEF
- importing custom URLs from sh404SEF.
See this documentation and this video for an actual description.
4SEF is currently in beta testing and is the same subscription as sh404SEF, so you can get access to it with your normal sh404SEF subscription. We are waiting for enough feedback from testers. You should likely test it first on a copy of your site.
