Dear,I am using a top-notch SH404SEF component on several websites running on the Joomla content management system. The majority of the website is scheduled to migrate to Joomla 4, but SH404SEF was not created for the new Joomla. Do you have any advice for me regarding the 4SEO transition, which I intend to purchase for a day or two, or do I need to export everything and manually import it into a new component? Redirections, canonization, and the rest of my worries are less clear to me than the new options of the 4SEO components, which are modern SEO components and probably the best "all in one" option for Joomla 4. I am an SEO strategist and am looking for Joomla components like WP RankMate.Kind RegardsSlaven Lulić

Hi

4SEO is not a successor nor a replacement for sh404SEF. You may want to read our detailed blog post of last year about the plans for upgrading to Joomla 4. Here is the short story:

- 4SEO is indeed an all-in-one SEO extension for Joomla. It does much more than sh404SEF ever could (check out our new Google Search Console integration, from which we extract keywords and pages optimization opportunities).

4SEO can import custom meta data, redirects and canonicals from sh404SEF.

BUT: 4SEO does not deal in any way with SEF URLs. It can work with Joomla SEF, sh404SEF, 4SEF, JoomSEF, etc

- 4SEF is a new component (currently in beta testing) that has only one job: create SEF URLs. It can import SEF URLs from sh404SEF. 4SEF is required to maintain the same URLs as before on a site using sh404SEF.

Best regards
