Hi Leo,
4SEO is not a successor to sh404SEF, it does not replace it as it does not do anything for SEF URLs. Please read this blog article from last year explaining how 4SEF will replace sh404SEF. Make sure to also read our newsletter for updates, there has been many since last year.
4SEF entered private beta about 6 weeks ago and will be released publicly when ready.
4SEO is a much larger extension, covering sitemaps, structured data, broken links detection and much more. It works very well together with sh404SEF or (in the near future) 4SEF, either on Joomla 3 or Joomla 4.
As for subscription, there will be only one subscription for both sh404SEF and 4SEF, you can use both with the same subscription.
We do not howeverany "gouped" discount for people having both sh404SEF/4SEF and 4SEO, nor any kind of discount for that matter as we rather have the lowest price for everyone all year long, rather than having to increase our prices to compensate for discounts.
