Can't seem to post a ticket into sh404EF so trying here instead.
I have been asked to look at a Joomla install currently running sh404SEF v 4.3.0.1671. I need to update this in order to manage a PHP upgrade on the server. I realise this is an old version and a new one will need to be purchased.
The database table sh404sef_urls contains nearly 500,00 entries, alarmingly!
Can you offer any advice on the best way to approach this?

sh404SEF support is for users with an active subscription.
My advice would be to purchase a subscription, download and install the current version on a copy of the site.
- 500K URL is nothing major unless your server is severely limited in MYSQL resource.
- PHP version may be an issue, old version may not run on PHP 7.x but worth trying. Current version will not install below PHP 5.6.
Running an 8 years old version on a live site is always going to be a problem. It should be manageable though: maybe update first to PHP 5.6, which should work with sh404SEF 4.3 and then update top current version.
Again, you should do all this on a copy of the site.
