I currently use OSMap for my Site Maps. Will this cause a conflict with 4SEO?Is there an option to disable the 'XML sitemap generation' function of 4SEO? I may want to continue using OSMap.

Hi

Like your other questions: why would you want to keep OSMap if you have another extension that does the same thing or better?

And yes, anything can be disabled in 4SEO.

Best regards

> Like your other questions: why would you want to keep OSMap if you have another extension that does the same thing or better? I am very satisifed with OSMap -- so I was interested in knowing if it would remain an option after installing 4SEO. Sometimes 'better' comes down to a personal preference. OSMap will create a Site Map for photos in addiiton to a Site Map for articles. I don't yet know if 4SEO does the same. Thank you for the reply.

Hi

OSMap will create a Site Map for photos in addiiton to a Site Map for articles.

Yes, of course.

Sometimes 'better' comes down to a personal preference

One thing is for sure, you don't want to have 2 extensions if you can only have one. Whether for maintenance work, cost, or just server efficiency, that's just something that should be avoided generally.

Now if an extension does a technically better job at something, or has feature that the other does not, it'd be a reason to keep both. But i that particular case, not quite so.

Hi

You're welcome! Closing this ticket now, feel free to open a new one as needed. If you do so, please mention this ticket number in the new one.

4SEO is our new, modern, all-in-one SEO extension for Joomla 3 and 4. It automatically handles most of today's SEO work: meta data, structured data, sitemaps, content replacement and more!
