Our client has migrated their category blog to a third party site. We have rel=canonical urls fior those pages, nd 301's in the htaccess - but Google is not indexing those pages. I'm wondering if the lack of actual menu items is the issue, and whether 4SEO can provide a solution that Google can index?

#11504 – 4SEO - redirects of former category blog pages
Hi
I'm wondering if the lack of actual menu items is the issue
Menu items are a Joomla thing. What matters is links.

Not sure I follow you here. Do you mean that Google is not indexing the 3rd-party site pages?
There's nothing you can do on your site to help another site, in addition to sending them traffic as you do with redirect. Note that the canonical are not useful if you have redirects.

That is the conclusion we have come to, though we will now be looking at the SEO of the core site. Stay tuned.
Hi
Well, do you have any actual question about 4SEO?

Not really - I have questions for the client though! I previously used your 404SEF and got great results, so I am aware of the quality and effectiveness of your work.
Hi
Ah great and thank you for the nice comment! 4SEO, 4SEF (and soon another one) really are of a different generation than sh404SEF but yes, I try and do my best, sticking to Joomla extensions making!
