Hi,
1 - 4AI can generate content that you can inject into a Joomla text editor. I'm not sure what you mean by "generated basic content for Docman pages ( document and category pages".
4AI cannot create Docman categories or pages, but if you create these categories and pages, then you can certainly use 4AI to create and inject content into these pages and categories text editors
2 - Unfortunately, as the JoomlaTools extensions are not maintained anymore, they have a bug that prevents them from working with any of our extensions. It's well documented (see more details here in the documentation), a single one-line fix and JoomlaTools has been informed nearly a year ago by several customers but they have not published any release including the fix (at least to my knowledge as of today).
The fix is simple, it's one line to change and mos of our users do it themselves. You may also want to contact JoomlaTools for an update of course.

Docman creates automatically category and document pages with tittle but no content.
Docman pages(document and categories) are different from joomla content pages (articles and categories)
my question was if 4AI can push content to those docman pages.
2
docman is somehow a bit maintained
minor updates are published regularly
https://www.joomlatools.com/extensions/docman/changelog
i will review also your documentation about this issue.
the code edit seems easy to make anyway
3
about 4AI capability.
would 4AI be able to get information from the docman PDF document to generate content for the corresponding docman document page ?
(author, edition, editor, publication date, ISBN ....)
or this is is different from 4AI capability ?
Hi
1
my question was if 4AI can push content to those docman pages.
4AI reads and push content to the Joomla editors. It does not care what extension is used. So the actual question is: does Docman uses the regular Joomla editors? If so, then 4AI can read from and send content to Docman.
2
would 4AI be able to get information from the docman PDF document to generate content for the corresponding docman document page ?
4AI cannot read information from a PDF, and I have no plan to implement anything like that.
3
Have you read my comment about that bug in Docman and all JoomlTools extensions? Have you spoken to JoomlaTools? do they plan on fixing that bug and releasing new versions of their extensions?

Docman uses a frontend editor for its pages that we think is quite independent from standard joomla backend editor.
that is why i asked the question initially.
2
so 4AI is not adapted for our pdf usecase.
as we would have liked information to be extracted from a pdf document.
anyway if point 1 is OK, 4AI would be anyway useful for us.
3
sure your documentation link has been read.
docman is maintained by joomlatools with some upgrades every year. usually they handle our recommendations within their own schedule (meaning over monthes and years)
no idea if they paid attention to the bug you found until now.
but anyway the code change is quite easy to be done alone.
4
if point one is OK
we will have a try with your plugin and docman
and also about a talk with joomlatools with point 3 to ease the process.
Hi
Docman uses a frontend editor for its pages that we think is quite independent from standard joomla backend editor.
Joomla's editors can be used on the frontend, that's not a problem. Only JoomlTools can say if they are using the standard Joomla API for editors, this is a technical internal detail.

It's been a year or so, no updates and multiple of our customers asked for it. Your experience may differ but nearly all of our customers with JoomlaTools extensions have moved on to other suppliers now, due to lack of support and updates.
but anyway the code change is quite easy to be done alone.
I researched, found the bug and provided the solution for a given version of their framework that was available on one particular site. Your specific installation may differ slightly from what I describe in the doc. Note that after spending so much time on it, I will not provide any form of support or assistance in debugging any of the JoomlaTools extensions, or to solve any issue using our extensions on sites with JoomlaTools extensions.

the bug resolution has be reported to joomlatools fur supported users.
it may be faster handled than by github
Hi
it may be faster handled than by github
That's none of my business. If JoomlaTools does not support their customers and cannot make a release to fix a one-line bug, it's definitely both JoomlaTools problem and the JoomlaTools customers problems.
Docman and other JoomlaTools extensions are fortunately rare today, so that's not really a problem. Despite that, I took the time to debug the issue and provide the technical solution. I cannot do more, it's up to JoomlaTools to release updates to their software.

i was feeling to get a hand on this and the answer is a bit rude
here is joomlatools answer about the issue with weeblr extensions :
"We know about it and a fix for this is scheduled."
(some comments that a solution would have been preferably implemented within weeblr code)
"The "fix" that the developper provides is safe and you can implement if you'd like. "
Hi
i was feeling to get a hand on this and the answer is a bit rude
It is absolutely not rude at all. It's a clear statement that none of this is my responsibility and that JoomlaTools is to blame for this. And has been to blame for nearly a year.
(some comments that a solution would have been preferably implemented within weeblr code)
Why? they have a bug and I am the one supposed to change my perfectly fine code to accomodate one single developer who does not want to released a one-line fix in a year?
YooTheme has that exact same bug in their YooTheme pro page builder (and there are many, many more YooTheme Pro users than JoomlaTools users). It took them only 6 weeks between the first report and a full official release.
That's what I call normal support for customers.
In case you are wondering why it took JoomlaTools so long to do this, here is what I got a few minutes ago:
WordPress version does have its big release, Joomla can wait.
