I am in the process to update my site to Joomla 4 and unfortunately I am currently using JoomSEF, which has no J4 compatible version.So I am looking into your idea to use the sh404SEF importer and then use your 4SEO tool instead.But my question is, where do I find the sh404SEF importer for download.Do you have any suggestion?

Oh, just found that sh404SEF is part of the 4SEF subscription. So I will need to purchase a 4SEF subscription before being able to download.

No, the importer is not part of 4SEO because 4SEO does not anything with SEF URLs.
Only 4SEF builds SEF URLs.
4SEO is not a replacement for sh404SEF (or JoomSEF in your case) because again, it does not manage SEF URLs. Only 4SEF does that, and that's the only feature 4SEF has (ie 4SEF does not do redirects, metadata or anything else except SEF URLs).
Note that you'll have to do that operation (import into sh404SEF then move on to 4SEF - and possibly 4SEO if you want to import metadata and rediercts) while you are still on Joomla 3 as neither sh404SEF nor the importer can run on Joomla 4, they are both Joomla 3-only extensions.
