Docman is a nice joomla extension but we had issue with this extension about seo : sitemap generation and metatags.

Equivalent extensions for wordpress are better for seo but suffer for other issues.

We heard from joomunited about your new 4seo extension.

How would it work with docman.

Will sitemap properly included

Can we define generic rules do that basic meta tags will be generated for each docman page ?

Like for example :

Meta title : current docman page title

Meta category : current docman category

Meta keywords : current docman page tags

Wordprend document librairy do that seo part very nicely but their extension is not so good for end user than docman wich is very well crafted

It should. 4SEO will list in the sitemap all links it finds in the content (we exclude of course most of the useless ones), and you can exclude yourself more pages that are not useful with simple rules.

Not sure you need that:

Meta title : current docman page title

Docman should already do that, right?

Meta category : current docman category

There is not meta category, what do you mean?

Meta keywords : current docman page tags

Meta keywords are not used by search engines, so no, you won't be able to create meta keywords with any of our extensions.

i did made a test with your plugin qnd surely i should have done earlier.

basic meta tags are nicely automatically generated for docman categories and documents
