I have changed my domain name from gooners-website.co.uk to alan-morris.me. My hosting company has pointed the old domain name at the new one so everything else should stay the same. I will be letting the old domain name expire so that only the new one is left. Should I do a 301 redirect from the old one to the new one so that traffic going to the old domain when it expires goes to the new one?

Can I do this in sh404sef?

Hi

1 - Yes, you should absolutely set up a general redirect from your old domain to the new one

going to the old domain when it expires goes to the new one?
If your new site is tested well, and fully functional, you should not wait for the old domain to expire, and redirect immediately.

2 - No, sh404SEF won't do that for you, at the moment we only deal with the "internal" part of URLs, never the domain, which is left to Joomla. This is typically the kind of redirect you should handle with your .htaccess file. Most likely your hosting company can assist with that.
