I wanted to imbed a YouTube "shorts" in an article, using 4video as I usually do, but to my dismay there is no choice available for vertical resolutions.

ATM, the only choices availbale are 16/9, 16/10 and 5/4 whereas shorts/tiktok aspect ration is 9/16.

Would this be something that, per chance, you may be planning to implement ?

I did a quick check and it's not exactly as simply as adding another aspect ratio, as the YT shorts have a different URL pattern, so it needs to be a separate video type entirely.

Quite doable and I'll look into it hopefully in the immediate future. Busy with 4AI at the moment though...
