What can be the reason for this and how can this be resolved?

This means you most likely unzipped 4SEO when you tried to install it (I'm told Macintosh to that automatically upond downloading a zip file) and installed separate parts separately. This cannot work, only the main pkg_forseo....zip can be installed.

I'd suggest downloading again and install over, making sure you install the pkg_forseo...zip file only.

The requests are timing out (20 seconds is the max time we allow for the server to respond). This may means multiple things but usually it's a security system on the server being activated (mod_security, or a faulty DNS setup). What type of hosting are you using exactly? 

Also, please provide us with superadmin credentials to your website. You can create a temporary account, and delete it afterward, but it must have superuser level. Just paste the credentials here in this ticket and use a dummy email address such as [email protected].

Web works fine prior to the instalation of the component.

That does not mean anything really, you were not using 4SEO before. 4SEO is single page application it makes multiple very small requests to the server and many shared hosts, or default configuration when self-hosting, block that.

Pleas see attached the conf of the domain over Plesk.

I cannot comment on your hosting company configuration, only them can look into the log files and see if there's anything suspicious there. Also your screenshot is just for PHP settings. We are likely not talking about PHP settings, but the server settings (Apache and mod_security). At least in what I have seen in other people setups.

I logged in to your site and can't see any issue with configuration.

I get 2 small errors:

Error loading data from server. Error: Cannot communicate with server More details can be found in the browser Javascript console. (Init storage, initial state)

Cannot save configuration. There was an error trying to save configuration to the server. Please reload the page or try again later.

What exactly do you do when you get this error?

oh and by the way, I see you are using RSFirewall. That's exactly the kind of extension that could incorrectly block 4SEO requests to the server.

As for the helpdesk, I am using Akeeba Ticket System. It has a good features set but I would say it's really hard to make look decent on the frontend, for users.
