#9847 – sh404sef not migrating
Hi
Not without actual, real-world examples of when and how this happens. Typically, contact us when you are at this exact stage so that we can have a look.
The usual reasons for this are:
- there's nothing to import: with 4SEO, you import custom meta data and redirects. If you don't have custom meta data in sh404SEF, or redirects, then there's nothing to import. With sh404SEF, you should have some SEF URLs, at least if you have some in sh404SEF, visible on the SEF URL list
- the data, the actual database tables, are not available on the new site: depends on how and when you migrated. As a reminder, you should always install and entirely set up 4SEF/4SEO on Joomla 3, on the "old" version of the site, before trying to migrate.

Ah, I included screenshots of the the pages in my ticket, but it doesn't look like they came through.
- I'm still in Joomla 3.
- There is custom meta data and redirects in sh404sef, but the import button just doesn't appear
- 4sef says there are 469 URLs in total and 14 custom ones. It runs the import and then appears blank afterwards.
- I can see the sh404sef tables in the database and the site has access to the database.
What more information would you like?
Hi
- I can see the sh404sef tables in the database and the site has access to the database.
Yes, if it tells you it founds 469 URLs, they are present and it has access.
1 - Do you see the URLs being imported? ie , during the import, there's a counter going up from 0/469 to 469/469, do you see that?
2 - On your screenshot showing the SEF URLs list, you are searching for a specific URL ("how-the-programme-..."). Isnt's this preventing any URL to show?

Ah, yep. You've caught me being stupid. That clarifies the 4sef problem. I still can't get 4seo to do an import?
Hi
That happened quite a few times to me as well, don't feel alone here...
I don't get any option to migrate (in the case of 4SEO)
That option is under Configuration | Extensions | sh404SEF and is only there if there are indeed custom meta or redirects available in sh404SEF to import.
Also, either sh404SEF or 4SEF must be enabled (required to build the SEF URLs).

Yep, so I'm familiar with that option and it works on most sites. But every now and then when I go there there is no button for importing the information. I know there is definitely data. I've even added fresh data to sh404sef, cleared the cache, and then refreshed the 4seo tab and still no button is showing.
Hi
Not much I can without actually looking at the site myself in its current state of not showing anything...
