Reduced schedule during conference and annual break

We'll be operating with a reduced schedule from tomorrow and the next few weeks, as follows:

We'll be travelling and attending JoomlaDay USA from Tuesday April 22 to Friday April 25. Support will have extended response time during this period. From April 25 evening to Tuesday May 12 included, support will be closed for our annual break.

Don't forget to look up the documentation, including the videos, your answer may already be there! Likewise, be sure to check the Development versions area, in case your problem may already have been solved.

In case of emergency (ie your site is down with a fatal error directly linked to one of our extensions), please contact us by email (see contact icon at the bottom of all pages of this site)

Hi Yannick, I have a funny issue with a large site I'm working on. Due to removing some globally set meta descriptions, I had to reset the analysis and recrawl the site so 4SEO can create descriptions based on the content. It is a site with thousands of pages, so crawling takes some time normally. However, now it pretty much stops crawling real soon, and an error is displayed:

Cannot communicate with server
Unexpected token '<', "

4SEO is active on this site for quite some months, without any previous issues. At a very slow pace, background processing seems to take place now, but it only did a few dozen pages in a few hours time, while before a coouple of hundreds per hour was usual.

Are you using a YooTheme template, using WidgetKit?

If so, this is a known (for the last few days) bug in WidgetKit. it's tracked in their forum here: https://yootheme.com/support/question/156867

Yep, that was exactly my issue. Widgetkit disabled as I hardly use it, except for a minor module, and the analysis runs fine again!

Quite a bit of an issue for me actually, YooTheme is quite common and while many people don't actually use WidgetKit, just like you, it's often enabled and causing that issue. Took me a while just to understand what was causing it...
