Why is canonical not defined on any of my websites?

What's the problem? why do you want to have canonical and where?

Please provide at least one example of a full URL where you want to have a canonical and why you want one.

Before 4SEO installation: when I viewed the source pages, all pages had rel="canonical", now after installation, no page contains rel="canonical".

Which is good and exactly as it should be, unless these pages are duplicates of other pages. Do you have pages that are duplicates of other pages?

Nope, duplicate title and description are 100% fine on paginated series like a category blog, you should not do anything about it. See Google documentation on this page:

There's nothing to do because there is no problem. As explained above, pagination series are perfectly OK and they do not need to have separate titles and descriptions:

4SEO is not capable of detecting pagination series, but Google can and so you do not need to fix that in any way, there's no problem.
